Cake Smash Photographer Nottinghamshire

There’s no denying I have a super natural, minmalist style of photography.

I’m all about the no fuss, simple life which follows through to my photography & my 1st Birthday / cake smash sessions.

I honestly beleive that whilst the bright, prop filled cake smash shoots are great and work for some people, they just aren’t me, or what my style of photography is all about.

I want the entire session to celebrate your baby, to remember the detail that made up that tiny person you created.

I want all of the focus to fall on how wonderful they are, being exactly who they are at that exact time in their lives and not to be distracted by the bright colour and jazzy outfits.

My 1st Birthday / cake smashes are a classic take on the very American cake smash genre.

But above all, they’re fun, so much fun. For you, for them and a great set of memories to keep forever.

I start my sessions as I mean to go on, with lots of natural play.

We’ll get out a few of my organic handmade wooden toys and I’ll snap away as your little one relaxes in to having their photograph taken.

& then maybe some family shots, I know … I know … but don’t worry I promise they’ll be natural, lots of interaction and no cheesy smiles.

Then there’s the cake part, a little handmade cake baked by my local cake queen The Blonde Baker.

& finally a splash to wash down in my old vintage tub, great for photographs.

Because really whats more fun than cake & a splash with some bubbles?

So there we go, a quick run down on how I do my simple, natural, no fuss cake smash sessions.
