Baby and Family Photographer Nottingham - Choosing The Right Shoot For Your Family

I’m going to guess you’ve landed on this page because your unsure of what type of shoot you need to book for your family, am I right?

Its confusing I know, so many different styles, hundreds of photographers, how do you know which one is right for you?

To help your decision along, I’ve put together a little read through which might help decide photographer or style is for you.

So first, studio, location or at home?

There are certain photographers that specialise in each area so let me help you understand the differences.

Studio - Own their own space dedicated for you to visit and have your photographs taken.

Outdoors - Predominately shoots outdoors and will recommend locations for your shoot.

Lifestyle - Usually in your own home, using your furniture and space for photographs.

I am predominately a studio photographer, with my own little homely, naturally lit white studio, but I do also enjoy shooting outside and recommend this for large families with children on the move.

I’m very natural in my photography so look for the moments to capture that tell a story as apposed to the very structure posed shots, which a lot of photographers in Nottingham do - which is great, its just not me.

I want to capture real, authentic moments, this way I believe we see more of your baby and their personality, making the shoot personal to you and your family.

So now you might have decided which kind of photographer you would like, how about now looking at the location, for some people staying closer to home is more reasonable.

I’m a photographer based in Nottingham, the East Midlands, so fairly central. I find I have clients travel to me from all over, going from Leicestershire, Sheffield and even Birmingham. Traveling for those clients is a great way to ensure their little people have had a nap on the way.
