Celebrating Our Mums On Mothers Day

Mums are pretty awesome aren’t they?

I certainly know for sure growing up I didn’t give my mum enough credit for all she did for me, I was a stroppy teenage girl testing the boundaries, and its not until your older you realise that actually they were on your side too and not trying to fight against you, just trying to guide you and hope you make the right choices.

I love that we set aside a whole day every year to celebrate the women who raised us. I mean we really should celebrate them everyday, quite like how they never took a day off from us. Even now at nearly 27 my mum still couldn’t do enough for me and I’m eternally grateful to have her by my side.

As mothers day approaches, I’ve written an open letter to all Mama’s out there, the mums who have tackled infertility, miscarriage and loss, wether your at the start of your motherhood journey or your babies are now over the 20’s.

You are enough. More than enough.

We see you and everything you’ve sacrificed for us, the trials, the highs the lows, all of it every last bit.

The days when you felt anxious, insecure and down. Like you wernt’t being the best mum you could be.

You definitely were & the best we could have ever asked for.

So give yourself some credit, take a breather on those down days and remember its not always rainbows and smiles, raising little people is hard. But your enough, your loved and your very much appreciated, you are the butter to our bread and without you we wouldn’t be the people we are today.

So I hope if your a mother reading this, that come mothers day you look around and see how very thankful those little people are to have you.
